The Promised Neverland is a bit of a different animal than most fantasy/sci fi Shounen manga: instead of endless powerups or random events, the story is about slowly but surely uncovering the truth about the world from which the kids have been sheltered. As such it is a bit of a slow burn but the constant reveals along with the focus on the kids using intellect and teamwork to outwit whatever besets them make it worth the read.Story: They have managed to survive all the way to the shelter promised by the mysterious William Minerva. But they find it is already inhabited - by an older escapee just like themselves! The problem is that he is hostile and does not want to share the small resources of the hideout bunker. The kids see it as an interim step to getting to the human world. But the stranger tells them they haven't faced true peril yet. Together, they create a bold plan to continue their quest.Thus far, we have had two arcs in the Promised Neverland: discovering their situation/plotting their escape, and then surviving the journey to the promised safe house. I thought this third arc would involve exploring the safe house and then deciding what to do next eventually. However, the story moves quite quickly and it is clear this third arc will be about reaching the next safe house promised by Minerva.We don't learn anything new about Minerva other than that he appeared to have set all this up years ago. But I also find it interesting that he left the 'pens' among many of the 'farms', to be found and then used to escape. Mysteries in the story currently involve the "poachers" as well as what happened to the strangers' colleagues who all perished years ago.In all, I am still very much enjoying this manga. I especially like that the plot pivots on the intelligence of the main characters and not random deus ex machina events or power ups. Reviewed from an advance reader copy provided by the publisher.

My daughter recorded Miranda's Classical stretch for me from PBS channel because she thought it would be something I would enjoy beside yoga, and she was right. I have suffered from shoulder and back pain and did yoga to help ease the pain, but no longer, this Eccentric work out is a must if you have pain. Gentle easy relaxing moves that seem to put my bones back in place. I bought the book to learn more and am enjoying Aging Backwards!

Exercises are included in the book and videos are available on their YouTube channel. Some of us want to know the science behind why some things work and why others don't, and this book is good for explaining how and why your body will benefit from these type of exercises.

I’m happy that I never paid for this book. It came free with an order of some of the DVDs. The DVD workout program is wonderful, the book not so much. I wouldn’t bother with it really. I really didn’t learn anything new.

She eventually went to appearing in hip hop videos and made her way into stardom, marrying and divorcing her abusive, rapper husband Kool G Rap. Her book chronicles her relationships with her ex husband, and eventually with a variety of other rappers and professional athletes, including Jay-Z, DMX, Bobby Brown, Ja Rule, Shaquille O'Neil, Usher, P Diddy.Why did she end up used, abused and hung out to dry by them (or any other)? Because she wanted to be loved, and she thought this is what you do to be loved in this world. Her most famous statement was that she had wives calling her looking for their husbands. One lesson I have learned about stories is that there always more to them and that is the case with this book.Confessions of a Video Vixen is a story about a girl who endured physical, mental, and emotional abuse from mother and it began a cycle for Karrine that continued as she found herself in abusive relationships. Karrine’s mother put in her mind that she was unwanted, unloved, and unworthy.In my honest opinion, Karrine went looking for love in all the wrong places because of foundation built for her was weak. Karrine’s mother and ex told her constantly how she was unloved and the cycle continued in this book and her other books. In this book, Karrine also battled depression, alcoholism, and drug addiction that built on the destructive cycle she was already on.I believe one of the saddest moments in this book outside of Karrine’s mother abusing her and lowering her self-esteem was how her ex (who she met when she was 17 while stripping) kicked her out while she was pregnant because of an argument and before she left, he demanded that she cook a steak for him and the only thing he cared about was making sure his steak didn’t get burned.Another sad moment in the book was when Karrine was being put out of her home and she called a few of the guys she had hooked up with and partied with and asked them for money so she and her baby wouldn’t be homeless and they didn’t seem to care. According to her, they provided thousands of dollars for shopping sprees and other things, but when she really needed help they could only spare her a few hundred dollars. Karrine learned that these guys were just using her and turned to hustling in order to feed her son because she didn’t have any money. It was a lesson that Karrine had to learn the hard way when it came to the men she thought really cared about her.It was amazing reading the biography of Karrine’s life and reading the “more” to her story. This book is worth the five stars that I’m giving it. I see why it was a New York Best Seller. I’m glad Karrine wrote this book to show just what goes on behind the scenes at video shoots and it’s more to them than shooting fun music videos and meeting so called cool people.One last thing: I received Vindicated and read it in two days at the beginning of June and by the end of June, I had bought five of Karrine’s books. When I start reading Karrine’s books I read them in two days or less because I can’t put them down. It’s nothing for me to lose interest quickly in a book, but that’s not the case with this book because, like Vindicated it was one of the best ones I have read. I read this when it first came out and just recently I read it so I had reference to her newer book, updating us on her life. She and her story are very compelling. She is a good writer and it is packed with insider info. I think women that think being with men will get them somewhere should look at this book for what it is...she is wounded and in search. No one should read it and think it is a path to success.

I don’t know what happened in this woman’s life that would explain why she did soo many of the things she did regarding sex but she is in need of therapy and I seriously hope she gets help. Lack of self esteem has to be a major factor because she was used by all these rappers who could of cared less for her as a human being. I hope she made good bank for this tell all now that’s sweet revenge. Hope she’s doing well & wish her happiness she deserves it.

I original purchased this book Confessions of a Video Vixen for my son Jaison he wanted to read it, but I read it in one day!!!!! Interesting from the beginning to the end. Karrine Steffans shared her life with the World & this is her testimony. May hat goes off to her. I would definitely recommend that people purchase this book and read it!!!!! I couldn't put it down.!!!!!!!!!

The item arrived on time as a substitute for the ebook edition because the ebook edition costs at least twice as much. Her story really shines a light on the entertainment industry, just a warning that there may be vulgar language. If you are not comfortable, this will not be your book. I was surprised that it only took me a few days to read.

An excellent guide that every homeowner should read. Great for prevention of problems, and a thorough resource if you run into problem neighbors. Well written and the suggested places to locate state and local laws is very helpful.

The best way to avoid trouble with a neighbor is to not move next to a difficult one, but if you've done it, get this book. This species of neighbor must be more prevalent than one would suppose because I had one and now my adult child has one. The law should make it easier to prevent or deal with some bad neighbor issues but it doesn't do enough. (Check with PD about calls to the neighborhood.) Meanwhile begin with this book.

Purchased as a gift for a friend that is on Planning Commission for our little town. The book provided a wonderful resource to present both sides of some issues we are struggling with. The City Clerk even read some of the descriptions during the public comment period really providing a much more balanced discussion basis as most of us had not considered the different sides of the issues.... Good book!

Great law book. Well done with lots of good information.This book really helped me with dealing with my trespassing neighbor that has encroached onto my family property and is still not cooperating with me or the authorities.
