I only buy Cadogon guides now even if they're somewhat out of date. The reviewers are opinionated in a good way and offer inside info no one else does. (like getting a behind the scenes view of the Norman church under the gothic one in coutances.) Also lists market days for each town and covers even really small towns.
I love the Cadogan guides!
